Candy Pitts Csencsits died on Jan. 13, 1989. Candy was a professional body builder and former president of the American Federation of Women's Body Building. At the height of her career in 1983 Candy placed 2nd in the IFBB Ms. Olympia Competition. She was also an actress in the early 1980s and appeared in the made for TV film Getting Physical (1984). In 1984 Candy was diagnosed with breast cancer. While this ended her competitive career, she continued to promote the sport and was one of the first advocates for drug testing for women bodybuilders.
