Dean Kemmerer

Dean W. Kemmerer, 55, of East Allen Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 28, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the companion of Shirley Sis Beers with whom he shared 20 wonderful years. Born in Northampton on June 1, 1955, he was a son of Warren R. and Joyce E. (Borger) Kemmerer of Northampton. Dean was a graduate of Northampton High School class of 1973. He worked in the building industry as a carpenter for Serfass Construction for 27 years. Previously, he worked for Michael Serfass General Contractor. Dean was a life-member of the Petersville Rod & Gun Club, as well as a member of the Bath Republican Club, the Northampton Raccoon Club, and the Roosevelt Democratic Club, Danielsville. He enjoyed football, NASCAR, cooking, gardening and hanging out with family and friends. Survivors: In addition to his mother and father, and his loving companion, Sis, he is survived by two daughters, Christy and Tina Kemmerer both of Northampton; step-son, Ricky Kerstetter and step-daughter, Nicki Beers both of Walnutport; a brother, Dale Kemmerer and his wife, Marie of Neffs; niece, Shontell and nephew, Kyle, as well as a great-nephew, Perry. Services: Will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 8 p.m. in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown-Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
